Cardfight!! Vanguard, one of the most exciting and popular trading card games from Japan, is coming to Singapore on the 3rd of December! Featuring English version trial decks of the Royal Paladins and Kagero clans, as well as the volume one booster pack, The Descent of the King of Knights!
Cardfight!! Vanguard is a trading card game for all ages that was first released in February 2011 in Japan, and had since rapidly gained popularity in the Japanese as well as overseas trading card games communities.

Is Bushiroad interested on let the english version more close to the jp version? becouse a saw a calendar of english vanguard releses, and by it the eng cards will be always 4 BTs back of jp, do they intend to reduce this distance?
I`m from brazil and I want to buy some vanguard cards but I don't know if I wait the eng cards or buy the jp version, if this distance stay this I will probably buy the jp version, couse I cant't wait until 05/2012 to get my Tsukuyomi xD, and until 04/2012 to get Misaki`s trial deck, I know I can do a good OTT deck with the BT01 but... I whant the TD ^^.

Wow, I will love to see that ^^. Yes , thats not simple , you have a lot to see before doing that, I said that because with eng cards we can play better (it`s hard to memorize all ours cards effects xP) and will be easier to buy, unfortunately there is no shops that sell your cards here (I dont know) so we inport the cards, maybe with eng cards we can buy from other sites (USA sites for exeple) and get a cheap shipping.
Here in Brasil is hard to find someone to trade cards , we have a little amount of players but we are to distant from each other, the territory is too big. Thanks for answering.

Quick question, Bushiroad: Do you have a projected date for a release in America, or will I have to import all of my cards from Singapore? Either way is fine, but when I can walk into a hobby store near me and buy 80 packs of Cardfight!! Vanguard cards right there and then, I do believe I will be hooked.
Plus, I need a date to save up money for. If the American release is in January, I'll just save up my money for then (and probably camp out in front of the hobby store over night. Call me obsessed.).

When you say 'release date' are you referring to delivery dates in the US or is this considered to be a simultaneous US release? I.E. We may begin organizing tournaments in either a Japanese language format or an English Language format with product support that will continue over time?

Apocalypse is misspelled there... There's been a bit of backlash on the Vanguard Rider forums for the grammatical errors and uneven placement of text in boxes. Is this the final draft?

Your right about the misspell of "apocolypse", but they probably will fix it up.
In regards to the uneven placement, I wouldn't worry very much about that, as neither of the issues really effect gameplay in any way.
But, Bushiroad, I would like it if you fixed the misspells.
As a side note, what does it mean by Normal Unit? As far as I'm aware, there aren't any, er, non-Normal Units.
Lol, we do try to clean up as much of the spelling errors as much as we can.

But I was wondering about 1 thing...
Is the game going to have a Banned-List (Like Yu-Gi-Oh!) or a booster restrictipn list for legal tournament play (Like Pokémon) or none of them ?
Yes., there will be to keep the game in balance.
The situation will be monitored but chances are it will follow the Japanese Fighters' Rules.

I don't know about those, the thing i have heard about them is that Barkgal is banned as stanting vanguard...
I hope the ban list restrict and reduce but ban no card at all.
It's so boring when you open a booster or buy a deck and you pick a lot of cards you can't use and nobody wants to trade because they are banned. :(
And it's even worse when you finish to create your deck and then a the company releases a ban list forbid half of it. I stopped playing a certain game that loves to do that...¬¬

Just to let my thoughts:
Brazil have many world champions in TCG but just a few options in the market.
I'm not sure if it's because import taxes are abusive and this let many players with not much money to buy cards.
I'd like to see Bushiroad to give a shot to us brazilian people and promote championships here.
In fact, I'd like to see this kind of stuff in all places that usually get excluded of this world somehow. A Vanguard world championship would be amazing.
Also it would be cool to be able to play everywhere. A multi language Vanguard game for PSP/ PS Vita would be an amazing deal.
At last I'd like to say: Vanguard in English rules! I preordered some and I'm not sure if I have more anxiety about getting these cards or see the next expansions being released. :P

Yes, but it is easier if you think of these rarities as a separate entity, due to the existence of SP, Special Rares, and exclusive cards, like Brigette and Bors.

I have contacted 3 stores locally and one of them has already requested a dealer's application from bushiroad. Hammergirl has been awesome to deal with from their online store - so I highly recommend you buy from them without fear! I've already picked up 2 trial decks and some packs from them.
We need to create a large demand for the english cards. You cast your vote with your pack purchases. Whether it's from my stores locally in central NC or from Hammergirl online - save up and buy once the english cards are released!

Update! 2 other stores have agreed to request dealer applications. We will have a total of 3 in central NC soon. I am taking my Achi Blue mat and my Nova Grappler starter as well as my set 4 cards and I will be doing demo cardfights in between each round at all my Yugioh! tournaments.

CFV looks great, so many thanks for making an English version. Are you planning on the bigger OP program for Europe//World? The Anime is very much focused on competition and that's the heart of the cards. I would love to hear if Bushiroad is planning to keep the game more competitive on the global level, or focus mostly on the casual and store play?
Can we count on World Champs in 2012? EU, Asia and NA champs? :) Card games thrive on competition and I would gladly travel abroad to play Vanguard.

Right now, they are still in the planning stages about the global scale. It takes a lot of work to push for something like that, especially a company that mainly deals in Asian countries. Things will more likely be based on sales. If Bushiroad sees that the game taking off in English then they will, more then likely, give more support for our market.

I really wish I was at the convention to see the English cards in real life but I guess pictures are better then nothing ^^. I also have 2 questions to ask if that's alright?
I actually talked to some of the employees of my local card store and asked if they would have Vanguard available in English and apparently I wasn't the only one who has asked them. I asked a player nearby who had the Japanese cards if he could show them and the people in charge said maybe. I looked at the distributors page and was wondering if there was an e-mail or some easier way for them to apply if they wanted to? I heard there is a distributor close by but it's apparently 6 hours away? It would be very helpful.
I'm not sure if I missed something or not but I know Heart of the Cards has Points Exchange for the Japanese print of Vanguard. I was wondering if the English version will have some as well or if the play-mats from the prize list will be able in some other way (sale/events/tournaments)? Thank You.

I sent the company a question about the legality of the future of mixed language decks. Can you mix the English and the Japanese in decks as long as you have the English card (or Japanese) available to reveal like other TCGs allow. It seems they are reviewing the situation and are going to reveal the actual policy in mid-Dec after the English cards are released.
Due to card thickness and to preserve the game state I would imagine they would want us to use either a purely English deck or a purely Japanese deck. Or maybe put the inserts into the sleeve over English text cards the same as the Japanese so all the cards feel the same.
Either way I encourage you to continue purchasing your products. This company is responsive to its customers and it's already shown the ability to be flexible to our needs. I don't think they would have marketed the Japanese text cards to foreign markets and encouraged us to use the sleeve inserts to facilitate game play only to come along months later and yank them away from us and declare them illegal for play in our respective countries.
I'm continuing to buy packs daily as well as going around to every tournament I can attend in my local area and doing cardfight demonstrations for other card game players. I'm fine with using a Japanese deck with inserts - as long as we can continue to purchase and use the Japanese cards and remain as one TCG then this game is the best thing I've ever seen in my over 10 years of participation in card games.

As far as we are aware, the English version uses the same art as the Japanese version. We will have more insight on this when we have more then just prereleased cards to look at.

No, you can't order cards here. Goto Otacute, Amiami or Hammergirl for buying cards. The first season of the anime ends at 65 but it was already announced that there is a 2nd season.
